ladies and gentlemen, meet dan merk. i worked with dan in a previous life and i can say he is one of the most unique individuals i have ever met. i know, it is incorrect to say "most unique", one is either unique or not, and we are all like snowflakes - no two exactly alike. still, dan is a bit uniquer than most. his snowflake, instead of being six sided, would be a dodecahedron. and if you know anything about me, you realize this is a heavy compliment.
so meet, graphic designer, photographer, artist, vegetarian chef, brewer, video gamer, and all around good guy...dan merk

don't know why my mind works this way; it's a gift.
driving home i noticed a sign that shows the date, time and temperature. i noticed the date was 02/03/04, and i wondered how often this happens. i have my answer. anyone want to take a stab?
post edited for clarity
the question is, how often are the month, day and year any consecutive numbers - not necessarily just 02/03/04?
one thing i like about my tai chi teacher is that he always refers to us as "playing" tai chi. i am not sure if that is just his style or if it is standard, but it seems to fit in well with the philosophy. i think putting it that way is cool...
i think this is a big reason i love teaching compared with past careers. to quote santa's elves:

her post regarding the superbowl halftime states:
Speaking of the Super Bowl, MTV produced the half-time show, with thuggertainers like Nelly singing, "Hot in Here," with lyrics including: "I was like, good gracious, a** bodacious Flirtatious, tryin' to show faces Lookin for the right time to shoot my seed (you know)"
Then Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson's t**.
CBS could show all that, but couldn't air the MoveOn.org ad about Bush or the PETA ad because they don't like to air controversial messages.
I'd rather have seen the banned ads than watch Nelly fondling his d*** while singing about seed shooting. CBS: bite me.
uh, couldn't put it better myself, so i ain't even gonna try...

jen had the idea of starting up an olympic blog and knowing i am a big olympic fan, invited me. i've been hooked as a kid - remember running around the house pretending to be jean claude killy, long jumping in the front yard, trying to throw a frisbee like a discuss. anyhow, i digress. here is where you can read the fruit of our efforts: Olympic Fever
